Cool vintage find

So I was looking for some new sunglasses and stumbled on Retrospecced. Grabbed a pair of retro aviator sunglasses, and they're pretty cool. They came quickly, like within a week, and looked exactly like the pictures on the site. I was a bit worried about buying glasses online without trying them on, but these fit my face really well. Felt good to get something unique and not just another boring pair from a chain store.

Good quality, quick delivery

Ordered a pair of vintage spectacles last week. The website was easy to navigate, and placing the order was straightforward. They arrived in about 5 days, which was pretty quick for an international delivery. The frames themselves were in great condition, just as described. I got them with single vision lenses, and my prescription seems spot on. The case they came with is also quite sturdy. No need to contact support, so can't comment there, but overall a solid experience.

Good value for a first buy

This was my first time buying glasses online, and I was looking for a good deal. I ended up getting a pair of refurbished designer glasses during their seasonal sale, which saved me a decent amount. Shipping to the US was free, which was a nice bonus. The frames look really high-end for what I paid, and the prescription was perfect. Felt like I got a lot for my money, so I'd say it was worth it.

Frames look great

Got the 1970s vintage frames. They fit well. Prescription lenses are correct. Delivery was fast enough. Happy with my purchase.

Reliable as always

This was my third purchase from Retrospecced, and they didn't disappoint. I got another pair of tortoiseshell spectacles, this time with varifocal lenses. The process was smooth, just like my previous orders. Quality of the frames is consistently high, and the lenses are always spot on. It's why I keep coming back; I trust them to get my prescription right and the frames are always unique. Never had an issue with delivery either.

i have a student discount code, can i use that AND the newsletter sign-up one? trying to save as much as possible lol.

Usually, coupon codes don't stack. You can only use one at a time, afaik.

I tried that during Black Friday once and it didn't work. Had to pick the better discount. Most online stores are like that.

hey, trying to figure out sizing for these vintage frames. do they give measurements or something so i know if they'll fit my giant head?

T Tom 1 month ago
yeah they have detailed measurements on each product page, like lens width, bridge size, and arm length. it helped me compare with my current glasses.

I just used their home trial service for a few pairs, totally recommend it if you're unsure. you can try them on before committing.

Can I use my current prescription for these? Or do I have to get new lenses from them?

C Cody P. 1 month ago
You can definitely just get the frames and then take them to your local optician to get your prescription put in. They even say on the site you can do that.

I got mine with new lenses from them, it was pretty straightforward. Just upload your prescription during checkout.

Thinking about getting some blue light lenses. Are those extra or included with some prescriptions?

S Sarah P. 1 month ago
Blue light blocking is usually an add-on, an extra cost. It's not standard with every lens type.

Yeah, it's an upgrade option you select when you're choosing your lenses. Costs a bit more but worth it if you're on screens a lot.

They do! I live in California and ordered a pair a few months ago. It took a little longer than a UK delivery but arrived fine. Just check their shipping info for specific rates.

how long does it typically take to get the glasses if I order with prescription lenses? impatient to get my new specs!

B Ben H. 1 month ago
Mine took about 2 weeks from when I ordered to when they arrived. That was for single vision though. Varifocals might take a bit longer.

C Chris 4 weeks ago
Yeah, glazing takes a little while. I think their site mentioned something like 7-10 working days for most prescriptions before shipping.

what's their return policy like? in case these don't quite work out after all.

N Noor V. 1 month ago
Returns were super easy for me. I think you've got 14 days or something like that to send them back if you change your mind.

F Faith 1 month ago
Just make sure they're in the same condition. I returned a pair that just didn't suit my face, got my refund no problems after they received them back.

are these frames actually real designer stuff or just good fakes? saw some gucci ones that looked too good to be true.

M Mia 1 month ago
They're real. They upcycle genuine vintage and designer frames. I got some Persols from them and they're definitely authentic.

S Sarah P. 1 month ago
Nah, they're legit. They source from all over, like old stock or even second-hand, then refurbish them. It's their whole thing.
